24 Hours of Le Mans: Bell Racing helmets won again

The 2025 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans – the world’s most prestigious endurance race – once again featured Bell Racing helmets on the top step of the podium. Robert Kubica and Yifei Ye clinched victory driving the #83 Ferrari of AF Corse, both wearing the HP7 model.

Yifei Ye made motorsport history as the first Chinese driver to win the iconic French race, sporting a uniquely liveried lid to mark the occasion. Meanwhile, Kubica delivered an extraordinary performance, completing 43% of the total race distance, including the final five consecutive stints behind the wheel.

“What a great job from everyone. It hasn’t been completely smooth, but we deserve the win – we’ve been fast and strong and we only made a few mistakes. I wasn’t supposed to do five stints at the end, but I managed to control everything and bring the car safely home. I’m happy for Ferrari; to win three years in a row with three different crews and cars is amazing,” said Kubica.

Endurance racing stands among the most demanding disciplines for testing a helmet’s performance. These events feature long stints and intense cockpit heat, requiring helmets that offer exceptional comfort and breathability to help drivers maintain focus and manage race strategy. Additionally, helmets can be configured specifically for both day and night driving, adapting to the vastly different visibility conditions each phase presents.

Ferrari, supported by Bell Racing as technical partner, returned to the top level of Le Mans competition in 2023, immediately taking victory with the trio of James Calado, Antonio Giovinazzi, and Alessandro Pier Guidi. That triumph was followed in 2024 by teammates Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Niklas Nielsen, and now in 2025 by the privateer-run #83 entry.

With Kévin Estre finishing second overall and the Calado-Giovinazzi-Pier Guidi trio completing the podium in third, six of the nine Hypercar podium finishers were equipped with Bell Racing helmets – once again the most prevalent brand on the grid, chosen by over 70 drivers across all class.

The 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship season – where Le Mans stands as the centerpiece – had already started strongly for Bell, with Ferrari AF Corse crews winning all three rounds leading up to the legendary race in Lusail, Imola and Spa-Francorchamps.

Celebrations extended to LMP2 as well, where Polish driver Jakub Śmiechowski claimed his second class win in three years. In LMP2 Pro/Am, the trio of Louis Deletraz, Dane Cameron, and PJ Hyett also earned victory while equipped with Bell Racing helmets.
